I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO WRITE THIS BLOG POST FOR YEARS.
Good ol’ Nashville, TN brought two of the sweetest human beings together right before my eyes. I was a bartender on Broadway and Stewart and Holly’s bands both played at the bar/venue that I worked at. Soon enough, Holly joined forces with Stewart’s band, The Springs, and I got to watch their cute, southern love blossom right on stage.
I was a fairly new wedding photographer at the time, and Stewart and Holly said “Hey! Want to take our band photos?” Of course I said yes, because they are awesome and I like photographing awesome people. It was during that session that Holly said- “One day you will be our wedding photographer.” I was elated- both at the thought of them getting married one day and also that I could possibly be the one photograph it.
And then maybe a year or so after that- Stewart sent me a text that made me break out into a happy dance- “I’m getting ready to propose to Holly at Bluebird Cafe. Will you be there to photograph it?” And so I was.
Not long after, Holly formally asked me to photograph their wedding. And I formally accepted.
So, you see why I have been waiting so long to write this blog post. Over the last few years, I’ve been there photographing their entire love story.
Here it is! The wedding of two the sweetest, most adorably in-love couple I know.
Who doesn’t love a great “first look” with Dad. 🙂
Perhaps one of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when the officiant asked those who were attending the wedding to please stand if they vow to support Holly and Stewart throughout their marriage. Holly and Stewart turned to see the love and support that surrounded them. And of course, I stood too!
They played nice this time. Both cakes were AMAZING!!!
They sang to each other during their first dance.
Oh, my heart. I love you guys. It was an absolute honor to witness and photograph your wedding day.
